This page is for deleting the account you created in Periksa — Defect Inspection ("Periksa"), published by Faiz Zakaria under the brand Rintova.
Deletion is immediate. Your account, your email address and your sign-in history are erased from our systems.
Email support@rintova.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my account". We will delete the account and confirm to that address within 30 days. We can only act on requests sent from the account's own address, because that is the only way we can tell the request comes from you.
Deleted at once in the app, or within 30 days by email: your account, meaning the email address, sign-in history and the account's licence record.
Kept for a limited time: if the free inspection for your email address was used, we keep a scrambled, one-way code derived from that address, with the date the free inspection was used. It cannot be turned back into your address, it is not linked to your account or to any name, device or location, and it is used only to keep the free inspection to one per email address, so an address cannot delete its account and claim another.
How long, and what happens then: your existing account keeps its free inspection marked as used. If you delete the account, this record stays until 24 months after the free inspection was used, to prevent the same email claiming again straight away. A clean-up that runs every week then erases it within 7 days. After that, a new account using that email may be eligible for a free inspection.
These are two separate things. An account that has used its free inspection does not get another one for as long as that account exists. The 24 months matters only to a new account created later on an address whose old account was deleted.
If you never used the free inspection, nothing is kept, because the record is created only when a free inspection is used.
A limit of this method: it keeps one free inspection per email address, not per person. Somebody using a different address can be given another free inspection, and we do not attempt to identify people across addresses.
Deleting your Periksa account does not affect a paid subscription. It belongs to your Apple or Google account and is cancelled there.
Your inspections, photographs, floor plans and reports are stored only on your phone. Deleting your account does not touch them, and we cannot delete them for you on request, because we have never held them. To remove them, use Settings → Erase everything on this device in the app, or uninstall the app.
